Wouldn't it be great if we could just assign each VirtualBox VM to a specific OS X virtual desktop (while in full-screen mode) and be able to CTRL-# to change from VM to Mac - to VM?Īdd an option to bring Mission Control into play as well, that would be extra cool! I asked for the exact same thing yesterday: (though, it may be best to also intercept the hotkeys to change desktops) it is by no means important, but it would be nice, and should be easy.

There is no need for gesture support or anything like that, just a flag to indicate that the window supports this feature, and a event redirect to handle fullscreen. If I have virtual desktops 1 and 2, and I put my text editor in to fullscreen mode, when i jump right from screen 1, I will get my text editor, and when i jump right again, i will get virtual desktop 2. by pressing this button, the application is set to chromeless full screen (with top and bottom ("start") bars hidden) and the application is removed from the desktop and becomes its own screen in the multiple desktop progression (so you can switch between virtual desktops and fullscreen apps using the same functionality)įor example. on applications that support it, there is a second full screen button on the top of the window. Mac did something pretty cool with the latest os, combining multiple desktop and fullscreen'ing an application. Look up the integration between "mac spaces" and fullscreen.

Sorry to post on an older thread, but I would really love if virturalbox added this feature, but it can't be added until it is understood.Īt the risk of tldr the takeaway is that its a (silly) small feature that can be implemented with very little effort.
